The Artist's Way Course - Darwin: May - July 2026

This 12-week course is a supportive, creative journey based on Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way Book, designed to help you discover and recover your creative self. You don’t need to “be an artist” to join… just curious, open, and willing to explore.

Each week we move through the book together while playing with a different creative medium — including oil painting, clay, printmaking, watercolour, movement, and more! 

Along the way, you may uncover ideas, interests, and creative directions you’ve never even thought of before. More importantly, you’ll begin to gently unblock the habits, fears, and beliefs that have been holding you back from fully embracing your creativity (and life).

We will be a small group of around 8–10 people, creating a safe, encouraging space where trust, laughter, and honesty can grow. The course is mostly in person, with Zoom available every week, so if you can’t attend physically, you can still join us wherever you are. The final few sessions may move fully online. (TBC)

If you engage with the process and explore the activities, many people finish the 12 weeks with a calm sense of direction, renewed confidence, and a deeper trust in themselves and their creativity.

Resources & Materials

This course uses Julia Cameron’s book The Artist’s Way.
We encourage you to source your own copy (it can take time to arrive), and we’ll also send you an online version when you sign up so you’re supported from the start. Let Heather know if you can't find a copy, as she may have a few to sell.

If you are doing this fully online, you can choose to purchase a resource pack (Australia only) or source the materials yourself.
